Storm damage is not always obvious from the ground. Lifted or displaced shingles, damaged flashing, exposed fasteners, impact marks, and water entry can appear in isolated areas or across an entire roof. A careful inspection establishes what happened and what should happen next.
T.E.C. inspects accessible roofing and exterior components, documents visible damage, and looks for related concerns at flashing, penetrations, siding, trim, gutters, and roof edges. Safety comes first; homeowners should not climb onto a storm-damaged roof.
Wind-lifted materials and small openings can admit water during later rain even when the first storm produced no visible interior leak. Timely documentation also creates a clearer record of the property’s condition.
